Coffee Morning Success
Momentum Galashiels recently celebrated the success of their Brain Injury Volunteer Support Worker Shona Dickey, Shona held a coffee morning on the 20th of May at her own home in the Scottish Borders.
This event was held by Shona to help raise awareness of the service and to raise money to help support service users with Brain Injuries. The morning went really well and the home baked cakes went down a treat with the local and surrounding communities. The day was extra special with Shona’s children getting involved in the fundraiser by running a very well executed tombola.
Overall the day was a huge success and raised a staggering total of over £200!
Momentums Borders Brain Injury Service Manager Harry Wood stated;
“it was a very successful event! Shona and her Children helped raise the awareness within the community of the service we can offer alongside our Money Matters programme so that people with brain injuries may get the support and help that they might not know they could have, to raise the amount of money was outstanding and all who attended had an amazing day in the process. A big thank you to Shona and her family from all at Momentum! “
The fantastic support of our dedicated volunteers like Shona alongside support from our local communities is invaluable to supporting the work that Momentum does across our communities in the UK. To learn more about the Brain Injury Service that we offer in the Scottish Borders, click here
