Assistant Psychologist (Part Time)

We have a vacancy for an Assistant Psychologist within our Pathways service in Aberdeen. We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist with a good understanding of Acquired Brain Injury and other neurological conditions, person centred-care and training skills. This post is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in working therapeutically with adults who have an acquired brain injury or neurological condition. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist who is able to work on their own initiative and possess a First or Upper Second Class honours degree in Psychology, with entitlement to Graduate Basis for Chartered (GBC) membership of the British Psychological Society.
The successful candidate should have experience of;
• Delivering and designing individual and group based Psychological Interventions.
• Working closely with a range of professionals from NHS, Social Work Services and Third Sector.
• Working in a clinical and/or community setting with individuals with acquired brain injury/neurological conditions.
The post will be based in our office located within Ruby House, 8 Ruby Place, Aberdeen.

Vocational Rehabilitation Tutor
Full time, (36.5 hours per week), based Aberdeen
Salary circa £20k per annum.
We have a vacancy for a Vocational Rehabilitation Tutor, working within our Pathways Programme in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire. Supporting individuals with acquired brain injury/neurological conditions or mental health conditions, the vocational rehabilitation tutor will assist people to increase their confidence and independence through training and rehabilitation, developing their work related social and lifestyle skills. The Pathways programme has a proven track record in delivering services to help individuals to achieve their vocational goals.
The successful candidate will have:
• Experience in the areas of brain injury, mental health and personal/vocational rehabilitation.
• The ability to deliver personal / vocational development in a group work environment, as well as supporting clients on a one to one basis.
• Experience of engaging with partner organisations and employers to support both the programme, and individuals engaging with it.
The successful candidate should be educated to HNC (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent, but experience is of greater weight..
